a meetup for photographers to join together for a walk to take photos of a specific context such as a city or local area. Photowalks provide opportunities to socialize and network with other photographers

a virtual event that offers sessions that can be accessed by video conference

a genre of photography set outdoors, typically set in nature
City/Street
a genre of photography that contains people and an urban setting
Architecture
a genre of photography that pertains to buildings and other man-made structures, with a focus on design and detail
Astrophotography
a genre of photography that focuses on the night sky and elements of stars, aurora, and the moon
Seascape
Water landscapes and marine life
Wildlife/Nature
a genre of photography that focuses on animals, plants, fungi and other natural elements in their natural habitats
Model/Portrait
a genre of photography involving people or groups of people

a genre of photography pertaining to commercial products and food items; mainly used for promotion

a genre of photography involving extreme close detail of small objects
Newborn
a context of portrait photography consisting of newborns
Wedding
Activities relating to Weddings that involve engagement, ceremony, portrait and celebration
Aerial/Drone
Photography from the air. Images can be taken from an aircraft, or from the ground focusing utilizing drone technology
WRITING TIPS FOR EVENTS
- Double check all dates, costs and itinerary details
- List the highlights of the event
- List the goals or outcomes of the event
- Detail any crucial photography or traveling equipment the group may need
- Summarize the inclusions, exclusions, and optional costs of the itineraryÂ
- Present a variety of images showcasing the event
- Communicate with confidence in your experience and knowledge of the subject matter or environment
WRITING TIPS FOR ARTICLES
- Define the purpose of the article
- Try and be logical in detailing the process
- Use images to give visual queues where possible
- Proofread and use spell and grammar check before finishing
