Join us for a five-day, four-night landscape photography tour through the dramatic terrain of the Flinders Ranges National Park in South Australia. This immersive experience will take you from golden hour in rugged gorges to deep-sky photography under some of the darkest skies in the country — all while guided by award-winning photographer Matthew Storer.
Photograph burnt-orange ridgelines, iconic geological formations like Wilpena Pound, and capture the Milky Way over ancient outback landscapes.

Itinerary at a Glance
Day 1 – Arrival at Wilpena Pound
Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a welcome dinner. Evening discussion about tour goals and individual skill-building. Weather permitting, a local night shoot follows.
Day 2 – Eastern Flinders Ranges
Begin with sunrise at a panoramic viewpoint. Wildlife is often active in the early morning light. In the afternoon, explore a scenic drive toward a sunset location. Optional astrophotography after dinner.
Day 3 – Western Exploration + Sunset Vista
Photograph the unique tones and textures of Wilpena Pound at sunrise. Spend the day exploring new locations and learning techniques for landscape and macro photography. Sunset at an iconic location followed by night shooting or editing.
Day 4 – Northern Outback Adventure
Travel to the northern part of the park for sunrise in a remote setting. Photograph ancient geology and rugged ridgelines. Return for sunset at Razorback Lookout.
Day 5 – Final Sunrise + Departure
A final shoot overlooking Wilpena Pound before breakfast and check-out. Additional questions and review time are always welcome before heading home.

Join Matthew Storer for a 5-day 4 nights in the Flinders Ranges South Australia one of Australia’s iconic and diverse ecosystems teaming with wildlife and stunning vistas and gorges. Throughout our tour, we will photograph the world-famous Wilpena Pound during the stunning golden hour before capturing it under a million and one stars! During the day keep the telephoto lens glued to your camera with wildlife running rampant in this part of the world!
To utilise the conditions available to us, we promise to be on location before the optimal lighting conditions to capture the best possible images. As a result, expect to be photographing golden hour throughout the day and out late to photograph the stellar stars and Milky Way!
Throughout the tour, we will offer post-production procedures and workflow in numerous post-production software and image review sessions. It results in learning the photography process from a different perspective.
