6 nights – 7 days discovering and photographing the Rocky Mountain, Aspen and Marble area with its mining past, historic towns and dramatic mountain scenery. In this photography workshop we will visit and photograph Georgetown taking the Loop Railroad: a step back through Colorado’s rich history; explore Rocky Mountain National Park, with easy hike to Sprague Lake and easy to moderate hikes to Bear Lake area; easy hike around the Maroon Bells in Aspen and jeep tour to the Crystal Mill in Marble.

Itinerary:

June 17th:

Meet in Denver
Morning field session to Peaceful Chapel, Saint Catherine Chapel on the Rock and Lily Lake (easy hike)
Sunset field session at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park

June 18th:

Sunrise field session at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park
After the sunrise full day field session in the Bear Lake area in Rocky Mountain National Park with easy to moderate hikes to Bear Lake Loop, Nymph Lake, Dream Lake and Emerald Lake

June 19th:

Transfer to Grand Lake through the Rocky Mountain National Park with several stops along the road to photograph landscape and wildlife

June 20th:

Full day field session at Rocky Mountain national Park (easy to moderate hikes)
Golden hour field session at Adam’s Falls (easy hike)

June 21st:

Morning field session at Rocky Mountain National Park
Afternoon transfer to Aspen

June 22nd:

Crystal Mill and Crystal City Tour in Marble

June 23rd:

Sunrise field session at Maroon Bells
Georgetown Railroad Loop Tour
Transfer back to Denver
