Join us for 7 days and 6 nights of photography in breathtaking Slovenia. From crystal-clear alpine lakes to lush forests and unspoiled rivers, you’ll capture the magic of this hidden European gem during the vibrant autumn season — the perfect time for stunning landscape photography.
Join Matthew Storer, an award-winning photographer from Australia who has lived in Slovenia for six years, for a week-long autumn photography workshop designed for professional photographers eager to capture the stunning landscapes of the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park. With in-depth local knowledge, Matthew will guide you through the most photogenic and secluded spots, ensuring you capture Slovenia’s breathtaking autumn colours at their peak.
This workshop offers a rare opportunity to explore and photograph iconic locations like Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj during sunrise and sunset, when the lakes are at their most serene, reflecting the golden hues of the surrounding forests. You’ll venture through the magnificent Soča River Valley, known for its emerald waters, waterfalls, and dramatic mountain vistas, and traverse the Vršič Pass, the highest in the Julian Alps, offering unrivalled panoramic views. Expect to hone advanced techniques in landscape photography, long exposures, and creative compositions in a variety of alpine environments.
With small group sizes, Matthew provides personalized guidance throughout, ensuring that each participant receives individual attention to elevate their skills. Whether capturing misty mornings over glacial lakes or experimenting with light and exposure in Triglav National Park’s vast valleys, this workshop is tailored for photographers who want to produce gallery-quality work.
Let Matthew’s deep connection to the Slovenian landscape and culture inspire your photography, while also enjoying the comfort of carefully selected accommodations and local cuisine. This is a unique opportunity to explore Slovenia’s hidden gems through the lens, guided by someone who knows this region intimately.
