Explore the back-country gravel roads that stretch endlessly to the horizon, offering endless opportunities for stunning imagery.
As a special highlight, you’ll have the chance to photograph close-up moments of Merino sheep being fed, capturing the essence of rural life. Wander through historical shearing and wool sheds, exploring both their interiors and exteriors for unique photographic opportunities.
Discover the charm of abandoned, historic, and crumbling buildings, with the blue sky peeking through rusted corrugated iron roofs and the remnants of old fireplaces. These scenes offer captivating contrasts and textures that are a dream to photograph.
Led by Lesley, this retreat is hosted by the talented South Australian photographer, Steph Ball, who will guide you through her stunning corner of the Yorke Peninsula, sharing her local knowledge and passion for the region.
This retreat is designed for women at all levels of photography. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced photographer, you’ll learn how to capture spectacular images and prepare them for printing.
By the end of the week, you’ll experience the thrill of seeing your work come to life as printed photographs, ready to be framed and proudly displayed.
Our retreat concludes with a hands-on session where you’ll process and print a selection of your images on A3+ and A4 paper.

What to Bring
A complete equipment list will be provided closer to the retreat.
To fully participate, please bring your laptop or tablet with Lightroom Classic or Photoshop Mobile installed, along with your camera, a variety of lenses (wide-angle and telephoto), a tripod, filters (UV, CPL, ND), and a headlamp or torch.
For those considering upgrading their gear, we have a Nikon Z fc camera with lenses available to try out during the retreat
