Experience spring in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, where live oaks draped in Spanish moss, blooming gardens, cypress swamps, historic piers, and peaceful beaches create endless photographic opportunities. With special pre-dawn access along the Ashley River, we will photograph sunrise landscapes, birds and wildlife, canopy-covered roads, and the weathered trees along the coast. As Carolina locals, we will take you beyond the familiar places to some of the region’s lesser-known locations for a relaxing, inspiring, and creatively rewarding photography workshop.

South Carolina Photo Workshop Description
South Carolina’s Low Country is the essence of spring. Each year the climate and sun bring everything to life. We will photograph towering oaks and tree lined roads. We have pre-dawn access to Ashely River for sunrise and local gardens to capture spring blooms. Old historic piers dot the coast line, and old cypress swamps awaken. We live in the Carolinas, we know the best, and the lesser known photo spots, old wooden piers, lakes with floating cypress trees and tree filled beaches. Lodge away from Charleston’s hectic city traffic and highway hotels, and enjoy a true, peaceful spring workshop where inspiration, learning and smiles are abundant!
We will photograph sunrise along the Ashely River with live oak trees with Spanish moss, and experience early morning photography with lakes, gardens and bridges. We will visit and photograph birds and wildlife at the Audubon Swamp Garden and Bird Sanctuary, and capture nature at the Audubon Swamp Forest. Sunrise at the beach with an old pier, and of course we will photograph the Boneyard Beach where old oak trees stand in the surf. The Low Country is filled with gardens, blooms, canopy covered roads and old oak trees, and it is one of the most relaxing, and creatively charged workshops we offer.
