A Premium Safari Photography Adventure in Kenya
We are happy to announce our 2025 safari photography workshop, located in the heart of Kenya. Amboseli National Park, the Maasai Mara, and Mara North Conservancy are three of the most sought-after locations for photographing Africa’s iconic wildlife.
We begin our adventure in Amboseli, known for its large herds of elephants, big cats, and Maasai giraffes, all set against the stunning backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. We then continue into the heart of the Mara Conservancy, famous for National Geographic documentaries and the BBC’s Big Cat Diaries. Finally, we’ll round out the experience with a stay in Maasai Mara, the epicenter of the Great Migration.
Why This Is the Best Safari Photography Experience in Kenya
Unlike a standard safari, this experience is designed specifically for photographers. Every detail, from vehicle layout to timing of game drives, is built to maximize your photography opportunities.
What Makes Our Photo Safari Unique:
Fewer guests per vehicle – everyone gets a window seat and space for gear
Guides trained in animal behavior, angles, and photographic timing
Camps are selected for low tourist traffic and proximity to wildlife action
Focus on rare and dramatic scenes, not just box-checking the Big 5
Daily game drives optimized for golden hour and dramatic lighting
Witness the Great Migration Through a Photographer’s Lens
The Great Migration is one of nature’s most spectacular events. From late July through September, millions of wildebeest and zebra move across the plains, following the Mara River.
As water levels rise, the herds are naturally drawn to cross the river, sometimes more than once a day. This dramatic spectacle attracts predators, creating unmatched scenes for wildlife photography.
You’ll photograph:
River crossings with dramatic dust trails and splashes
Lion, cheetah, and leopard activity heightened by the increase in prey
Herd movement and predator-prey interaction in open savannas
Cultural Encounters and Storytelling Through Photography
During our stay, we’ll also have the opportunity to interact with the Maasai, one of Africa’s most iconic tribes. A visit to a local village will give you a glimpse into their traditions, dress, and way of life.
Many staff members at our camps are also Maasai, providing a chance for meaningful cultural exchanges that go beyond photography. Getting to know the locals, their way of life, stories, and traditions, is one of the highlights of our safaris. It adds richness and humanity to your visual storytelling.

Join Our Safari Photography Workshop in Kenya
We’re excited to offer our 2025 Safari Photography Workshop in the heart of Kenya. This workshop visits three of the most iconic wildlife photography destinations in the world: Amboseli National Park, the Maasai Mara, and Mara North Conservancy.
Iconic Wildlife and Breathtaking Landscapes
Our journey begins in Amboseli, home to large herds of elephants, majestic big cats, and the distinctive Maasai giraffe — all framed by the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.
We then venture deep into the Mara North Conservancy, an area renowned for its low tourist density and exceptional photography opportunities. It’s also where many National Geographic and BBC wildlife documentaries have been filmed. Finally, we’ll explore the legendary Maasai Mara — ground zero for the Great Migration.
The Great Migration: A Wildlife Photographer’s Dream
The Mara ecosystem hosts one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth. Every year, from late July through September, millions of wildebeest and zebras follow the Mara River, risking their lives in dramatic crossings that attract lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
This abundance of wildlife, coupled with incredible light and open savannahs, creates unforgettable conditions for safari photography.
Cultural Encounters with the Maasai
Our experience goes beyond wildlife. You’ll have the opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai village and learn about their daily life, customs, and colorful attire. Many of the staff at our camps are Maasai themselves — authentic cultural exchanges are woven into the entire experience.
These moments of connection are often cited by our guests as one of the most rewarding aspects of the trip.

Discover the Magic of Wildlife Photography in Andalucía
This exclusive 7-day wildlife photography tour takes you deep into the wild heart of Andalucía, one of Europe’s most biodiverse regions. Designed for photographers who seek meaningful encounters with nature, this journey offers the chance to capture birds of prey, elusive mammals, and sweeping landscapes under golden southern skies. Whether you’re an experienced wildlife photographer or a passionate learner, Andalucía offers a rare blend of light, beauty, and access.
Why Andalucía Is a Paradise for Wildlife Photography
Andalucía’s remarkable variety of ecosystems makes it one of the most rewarding destinations for wildlife photography in Europe. From rugged sierras to ancient oak forests and vast wetlands, every setting tells a different story.
Our itinerary is shaped by the rhythms of nature and the habits of the animals, giving you the chance to photograph them in the best possible light and conditions. With expert guidance throughout the tour, you’ll sharpen your skills while creating images that carry both technical strength and emotional impact.
You can expect to encounter:
- Birds of prey including Bonelli’s eagle, golden eagle, black vulture, and more
- Wetland species such as flamingos and European cranes
- Iconic mammals like red deer, foxes, the Iberian lynx, and the elusive genet
Wild Landscapes and Timeless Scenes
Beyond the wildlife, Andalucía’s landscapes are a visual feast. Towering mountains, olive groves stretching to the horizon, and dense Mediterranean woodlands set the stage for your work behind the lens. In the soft morning haze or warm evening light, even a quiet scene takes on cinematic beauty.
Every region we visit reveals a different aspect of the connection between nature, land, and history. These are the kinds of places where photography feels like storytelling — rich, slow, and deeply rewarding.
Bonelli’s Eagle: A Rare Wildlife Photography Subject
One of the most compelling opportunities on this tour is the chance to photograph Bonelli’s eagle in its Andalusian habitat. As one of Spain’s most threatened raptors, its continued presence here is both a privilege and a reminder of the importance of conservation.
From rocky cliffs to oak woodlands, observing this agile predator in the wild is an unforgettable experience. Capturing it in flight or perched in the morning sun is a highlight for any wildlife photography portfolio.
Golden Eagle: Majesty Against the Andalusian Sky
Photographing the golden eagle in Andalucía is a study in both grace and power. Often spotted soaring across vast open valleys, this bird commands the sky with a presence that is impossible to ignore.
Framing its flight or its intense gaze against the dramatic backdrop of southern Spain is a moment every wildlife photographer dreams of — and one this tour makes possible.
Elusive Icons: Iberian Lynx and Common Genet
No wildlife photography tour in Andalucía would be complete without the thrill of pursuing two of its most elusive residents: the Iberian lynx and the common genet.
The lynx, once critically endangered, now roams carefully protected scrublands where it moves like a shadow, cautious and alert. The genet, a graceful and mysterious nocturnal creature, glides through the darkness with elegance. Both animals offer extraordinary rewards for photographers with patience and a love for storytelling through images.
Your Wildlife Photography Journey
This is more than a trip — it’s a chance to immerse yourself in the art and practice of wildlife photography. Your guide, an expert in both the region and the craft, will help you understand animal behavior, field techniques, and how to work with natural light to create strong, evocative images.
We’ve carefully selected locations and times that maximize photographic opportunities. You’ll move at a photographer’s pace, with the freedom to wait, observe, and respond to moments as they unfold.
A Tour Crafted for Photographers
Picture yourself crouched quietly in a hide, watching cranes land in still water at sunrise — or standing on a hilltop as an eagle rides the thermals above you. From the gentle hush of oak forests to the electric excitement of a lynx sighting, this tour is designed to immerse you in the real work of wildlife photography.
Whether you’re building your portfolio or simply capturing moments of connection with nature, this experience is tailored to give you both inspiration and results.

Framing its flight or its intense gaze against the dramatic backdrop of southern Spain is a moment every wildlife photographer dreams of — and one this tour makes possible. Elusive Icons: Iberian Lynx and Common Genet No wildlife photography tour in Andalucía would be complete without the thrill of pursuing two of its most elusive residents: the Iberian lynx and the common genet. Your Wildlife Photography Journey This is more than a trip — it’s a chance to immerse yourself in the art and practice of wildlife photography. A Tour Crafted for Photographers Picture yourself crouched quietly in a hide, watching cranes land in still water at sunrise — or standing on a hilltop as an eagle rides the thermals above you. From the gentle hush of oak forests to the electric excitement of a lynx sighting, this tour is designed to immerse you in the real work of wildlife photography. Whether you’re building your portfolio or simply capturing moments of connection with nature, this experience is tailored to give you both inspiration and results.

Arches & Canyonlands Landscape Photography Workshop
The Utah parks of Arches and Canyonlands are home to some of the most visually striking terrain in North America, making them an ideal setting for this immersive landscape photography workshop. With their iconic red rock formations, towering arches, and sweeping canyons, these parks offer an unforgettable canvas for photographers drawn to natural drama, texture, and color.
This is one of our favorite workshops to host, not just because of the scenery, but because the fall season brings a special kind of magic to the desert.
Why Join Us in November?
Fall is the perfect time to photograph this region of Utah. As the cottonwood trees turn a vibrant gold and the sun sits lower in the sky, the light becomes softer, shadows more dynamic, and colors richer. You’ll be guided through extraordinary photo opportunities across both parks, with each location selected for its compositional potential and changing light throughout the day. This landscape photography workshop is as much about creativity as it is about location — we focus on helping you bring your artistic vision to life.
What’s Included:

Field sessions at sunrise and sunset, with on-site instruction and guidance
Creative challenges designed to stretch your eye and technique
Post-processing class, either during the workshop or via Zoom after your return

Robin lives near the harbour in Sydney (with Tim) and came to photography a few years ago as a way of decompressing from a stressful other career. She strives in her photography to always find the lighter side of life. Being out in nature, getting grubby in the dirt or waiting for hours in the hot sun or freezing cold; it’s all a metaphor for being able to immerse herself deep into another world. Animals with their unpredictability, and their ability to make her laugh out loud, are her passion. She hopes her work conveys that joy. Sponsored by Sony as Digital Imaging Advocate since 2019, she enjoys sharing her passion for image making through running workshops and educational days covering technique, equipment and post processing. Her skill as a communicator has been recognised, which has led to a number of invitations to judge in a variety of photographic competitions : Australian Photographic Prize – 2022 + 2023 Sony Alpha Australia Awards, Nature Category 2019 – 2022 Mosman Photography Awards 2019-2023 Robin gives corporate presentations and judges regularly for FCC(NSW) Camera Clubs and is currently the Vice President of Mosman Camera Club. In November + December 2022 she represented Sony and Intrepid Travel in Antarctica as a Photography Ambassador onboard the Ocean Endeavour.

A love of capturing New Zealand’s stunning landscapes prompted Meghan to give up a corporate accountant role to become a full-time landscape photographer and educator. Although only getting serious about photography 8 years ago, growing up with a dad who shared his love of hiking and the NZ outdoors, Meghan always had the desire to capture unique moments of light and weather conditions in a way that translates to more than a mere snapshot record. Meghan hosts photography workshops around New Zealand, and she is passionate about helping others improve their photography skills whilst experiencing unique and amazing locations and wildlife. She loves to break down photography concepts making them simple and easy to understand for her clients, and as a Sony NZ ambassador, she also runs local networking events designed to enrich the NZ photography community. For the last two summers, Meghan has spent a month in Antarctica working as a photography instructor and expedition photographer. When not away teaching photography, Meghan spends her time at her home in Cambridge, Waikato supporting her two teenage boys in their various school and football endeavours. – Sony Digital Imaging Ambassador – Kase Filters NZ Distributor & Ambassador – Sony Alpha Awards Landscape Category Finalist 2018 – NZ Geographic Landscape Finalist 2024 – Sony Alpha Awards Landscape Category Finalist 2024

Today Simone still travels around the world with the tenacity of a man and the curiosity of a child, looking for that exciting shot, hoping to be able to pass on the purity of photography and the “joie the vivre” each one of us can find in a simple frame. “To be able to admire a curious giraffe or a playful elephant while they enjoy themselves in the water is something that doesn’t happen every day; the thought of immortalizing the action of game the whole sport season worthwhile, or a singer singing at their most passionate moment of a hit song is an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime and, as a photographer, I have had the opportunity to document. The feeling of photographing those moments is indescribable. I hope that my images can give you the same emotions that happened to me while I was looking for the ideal place, right moment, and the perfect time to try to make it eternal. It is a very pleasure to show you my years of hard work and some of my hardest shoots, no matter how long it took or how hard it was, but always done with joy and the love that this job has given me.”

What is the reciprocal rule in photography?
The reciprocal rule states that to capture sharp photos when hand holding your camera, your shutter speed should be at least “1” over your lens focal length. In other words, to keep your shots sharp, you should use a shutter speed that is the reciprocal of your lens, otherwise, you’re at risk of blur due […]
